WOW! It’s been more than 2 years since the last post!! partly because I forgot about it…. (oops)

So, I first made this blog about three years ago for an year-long assignment in my english class. Now that I’m out of high school, this blog is no longer an assignment, but a blog that I can make a good use of.

In the past 2 years, I have visited many blogs from around the world; some containing news about celebrities, some containing cooking recipes, some containing beauty tips, etc.

There are just so many ways of using blogs, but it seems like I have already dedicated my blog as a diary, a place where I can jot down random train of thoughts.

It sure is relaxing when I write down anything that comes to my head, but being a college student, there are just too much things for me to do. (sad face) And this winter feels abnormally cold!

Anyways, before I digress even more, I will return once in a while to post any random thoughts.

I wrote a private post right before this one on January 2nd, but I don’t know if it is working or not… (I hope it does). Although I tried logging out and seeing my own blog as a visitor, I’m still worried that people can somehow see the post.

Why am I worried? Because my friend told me today about her “private” video that she posted on her facebook. She told me that her video was only for certain people in the video, so she customized the setting so that only those people can see the video. However, she said EVERYBODY commented on the video, even some people she doesn’t even know.

I don’t think that’s supposed to happen….;

I hope websites like facebook, where people have their private informations, are more secure on people’s privacy. (Seeing that I can’t see that private post when I come as a visitor, I think this website works fine )

Just like I wrote one for Christmas on the last post, here goes Happy New Year message.

Today was a LONG day. It was also an awesome day too! So this is what I did today. (I think this is going to be long..) :

Today was the last day before the winter break. It was also a half day. Everybody else was excited, but I was scared. The result for my first choice college Early Decision came out at 7:00 AM. I hadn’t started on any of my supplements for regular decisions yet, so this was the only chance I had.

I woke up earlier than usual, took shower, and turned on the computer immediately. It was 6:50 AM, and I couldn’t access to the website that would tell me the result. 6:55 AM, the error message was still there. 6:59 AM, no matter how many times I refreshed the page, the error message wouldn’t leave. I got afraid that the website wouldn’t work forever. 7:00 AM, my mom told me to turn on the computer, not knowing that I was constantly refreshing the website for 10 minutes. Then, finally at 7:02 AM, the website worked again. I couldn’t breathe now. In a few seconds, I would know whether I’d be free or doomed.

I was getting late to the bus, so I headed out right away. When I got on the bus, my friend woke up and said hi to me. I whispered to her, “I got in..!” I don’t think she was quite awake yet. She blinked at me. “What..?” “I got accepted!!!” “Ah… WHAT?! REALLY?!” Hehe, she was awake now ^^.

The moment I got to school, I got excited and started jumping around. I went to my AP Chem classroom to turn in the lab and told all my junior friends in there that I got in. Then I went to the counselor’s office even though the bell has rung already, told the counselor; she got all excited and started screaming, Mr. Ski came in and got confused (and then happy), and I headed to my class. I was already 10 minutes late, but I didn’t care. I told my teacher, he announced it to the class, they all got jealous. I went to my second class, told my teacher, she announced it to the class. I went to my third class, told the teacher, and people around her heard the news. Then it was lunch. I saw a girl across my table crying. Her friends didn’t look so happy either. Ooops… I was too happy that I forgot to think of other seniors… I quietly went to the lunch line when one of my junior friend came to me and said, “hey Jina, the whole school is talking about you!!!” Oh great… I was jumping around too much..;

It was a long lunch. (It was actually longer than regular days) I went to my last class. Since we were watching Iron Man, I just turned on my computer and played game. Mr. Ski already knew, so I didn’t have to tell him, and he didn’t announce it to class. All the seniors in that class already heard the news anyways. So yay, school ended, and I was free!

My friends and I were to watch a movie after school today. They were going to COEX straight away, but I had too many things to carry, so I stopped by at home to drop off things and went to COEX. Why did they have to buy the tickets already… They called me, telling that the movie will start in 5 minutes, so start running. Okay.. I’m not running. And I didn’t. (hello! previews~) So we watched a movie, went to karaoke, ate dinner. We were going to take sticker photoes, but one of my friend apparently has “camera-phobia” and would never take pictures. Too bad. We separated and came home.

No, I didn’t go home yet. My mom was waiting for me at the subway station near my house. For what? Dinner? Yes, it was for dinner… (but I ate already!) I waited for my parents to finish eating at the restaurant. (and omg the drunk people next to our room were SO LOUD!)

When we came home, it was pretty late, but too early to go to bed. I persuaded my mom to watch Heroes Season 3. (she doesn’t know I already watched them haha^^) I connected my computer to TV and it was like watching Heroes on TV!

I think we watched about 5 episodes or so. (and that’s A LOT) So I got tired and went to my room to sleep. With computer on. On internet…

Eh, I should sleep now.. ^^

Next week will be crazy… It is the last week before winter break. But I have so many things going on next week.

Here’s my schedule:

Monday- Afterschool orchestra performance. I’ll be back home at around 8~9, but not sure..

Tuesday- I have tests in AP Econ and Spanish 4, but I won’t have time on Monday to study for them… Oh, I think my AP Lit essay is due. =_=

Wednesday- I’m not sure, but I might have a quiz in AP Stat

Thursday- If I don’t have quiz in AP Stat on Wed, I will have it on Thursday

Friday- College Early Decision result comes out!!!! OMG I’d better get accepted!!! (please~!!)

Friday is a half day so I would come home early. I should play for the whole day a sleep a lot~! xD

Concert today! Unlike last year, this year’s concert was actually after school in the evening. I thought it was actually better to have a concert in the evening. Actually, when we had concert during school, I thought it was weird because… concerts are at night.

I thought tonight’s concert went fine. At least it was better than the rehearsal. As everybody would say after watching a concert, my friends told me that we did a very god job tonight. But they are just saying that because they don’t know the pieces well enough. We were rushing throughout the whole concert. Every song we played, we got faster and faster (except there was an accelerando towards the end in one of our songs, so that one was intentional). Also, as I always complain, everybody was out of tune (as usual)! I guess our tuning was better than the middle school groups, but still, if we are out of tune, we cannot make a good music.

Yes, I’m complaining a lot right from the start. So how about I talk about what was good about our concert tonight? (I’m talking about just my group, the high school orchestra.) We started together and ended together, although we were about to fall apart in the middle of songs. Performing music involves lots and lots of listening to others and staying together as a group. I think we paid a little attention to dynamic, another important concept in expressing emotions of the pieces.

I’m getting lazy, so I’ll stop writing here. But what I’m trying to say is that our point of view really depends on how much we know about the information given.

I just wrote a nice, long post about what happened today at school for senior portrait picture, but when I published the post, it DISAPPEARED!!!

It didn’t even get saved as a draft?!

I spent all that time for nothing?

I guess I’ll just write it all.. over.. again.. -_-

3 days + weekends of freedom. After weeks of busy school days, 3 days of no school is like heaven. I finally had chance to sleep 12 hours a day and watch TV for  the whole day. And yet, I am not satisfied. Why?

All the homework and tests coming up next week. Why do teachers have to give us homework over the break so that we can’t even enjoy the little bit of freedom we have. I’ve been stuck in my house for last 3 days (including today) and do nothing but watch TV, do homework, and sleeeeeep. How boring.

Next time, during Christmas break, I should go somewhere fun and…. have some fun xD

(why do we have Thanksgiving break in the first place…? Korea doesn’t even celebrate American Thanksgiving :3 )

One day, I was downloading a new Korean song. Since I have always gotten songs from my friends or my brother, I didn’t know where to download music. Then one of my friends told me to go to Naver, a Korean website where ANYTHING could be found. Of course the song I was looking for was there. I was glad that I could download it without having to sign up for a cafe member or anything. It was after I had put the song in my ipod when I found out something was wrong with the song.

The song started out all fine. Just normal song as I heard it on TV. After the first verse, however, the song faded out and a voice and a weird music came out. The voice was just normal voice I hear from ATM machines or automated phone calls. When it talked something about illegal download, it totally freaked me out. Here, listen to it yourself.
